The Doctor; a first few days

For the last few days I have been going to the hospital and transitioning from the role of an observer to that of an active doctor. First thing off the bat is this, your marks never really determine your will to take the initiative. I have seen people who were very competitive in academics now have rather dull, next off your eyes really matter. No, not the color of your eyes, I know your blue or green eyes might bedazzle but what really matters is how quick you are able to pick different things up.
Being the batch incharge, I got to experience a couple of things, first off you cannot please everyone. Even if you try, you end up hearing things from one person or another. Secondly, there is always someone who will try to make a mess and you'll have to clean it up. Third, if you're like me and you get really frustrated when people start fiddling with your arrangements then this responsibility will probably suck the life outta you.
You'll hear a lot of things, some are even complete lies, somethings have bits which are made up, but you know the beauty behind everything; you'll get to realize this crap doesn't matter; if you are fully interested in doing your job properly you will end up enjoying things a lot more and whatever people say will not even matter to you.
The people who make a mess, they always pretend to be on your side but see the simplicity is this, they just want to have importance and they make a mess for you just so they can become important, perhaps they have some sort of an inferiority complex which compels them to make your life tough. But don't you worry, these people, they just end up falling a lot more harder, and then they get a ton more fractures :P
The rules of a job such as medicine are this, patient care. Period. nothing more and nothing less. and remember, you find help from where its least expected and you find disappointment where you have a lot of expectations. I really enjoy working in a place where I can make a difference and the beauty of work is this, you make new friends wherever you go. From all that external pressure about friends, requests and all that crap, what I enjoyed most was staying away from my phone. If I take the time out and talk to you even after all that crap, you really are important for me. and life is just for important people, keep life simple, enjoy your work and just fall in love with it.
